High attention to detail and 1 - 3 years in quality assurance, inventory management, and warehouse operations is needed for this role. The ideal candidate can work equally well independently or with teams, exercising sound judgement and flexibility in a highly dynamic environment. Responsibilities
- Auditing of outbound shipments for accuracy and adherence to customer order requirements
- Maintain inventory accuracy utilizing exception and preventative control methods
- Investigation, tracking, and reporting of inventory returns, order discrepancies, and damaged goods reported by customers as well as providing recommendations
- Prepare inspection records as needed when quality of merchandise is questioned
- Analysis and reporting of processes and controls related to stocking and receiving to facilitate the delivery of first-quality product in a timely manner
- Verify physical inventory counts of products through cycle counts of assigned aisles utilizing warehouse management system
- Lead annual end of the year physical inventory count
- Monitor negative inventory and ensure it is researched and corrected on a timely basis
- Identify and propose solutions for inventory issues and resolutions, such as out-of-stock inventory, damages, and discrepancies
- Creation and modification of warehouse and operational procedural documentation; complete quality assurance processes and systems, as needed, for Corrective Actions and Recalls
- Manage and drive customer Non-Compliance program including investigation, tracking and reporting of non-compliance incidents, program status, and forecasted outlook
- Proactively investigate all instances of non-compliance, potential chargebacks and fines by accessing customer portals; working in conjunction with Sales, Finance, and Operations to identify root cause and implement appropriate countermeasure
- Assist in the evaluation of new product sourcing to ensure compliance with all company and regulatory requirements
- 1st Article Inspection of newly sourced product to ensure: fit for purpose, quality standards, and adherence to defined material and dimensional specifications
- Assist in the vetting of new suppliers including evaluation of quality procedures
- Assist in the supervision and leading of warehouse operations
- Other duties as assigned
- 1 - 3 years’ experience in Quality Management Systems, shipping and receiving
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree in Applied Science, Applied Quality and Standards, Quality Systems Management, Supply Chain Management is strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of warehousing operations, products, shipping, receiving, and handling practices
- Experience with international shipments and document processing
- Familiarity with ISO standards and procedures is a plus
- Competency in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and other warehouse management systems
- Strong attention to detail, ability to remain focused in a busy work environment, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Powered equipment certification and a safe operating record (e.g. pallet jack, reach lift, order picker, skyjack). Training and certification will be provided as appropriate.
- Ability to perform functions with an RF gun
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members from multiple internal departments, challenging and developing others as appropriate in the pursuit of continuous process improvement
- Self-motivated and adaptable person with a strong service orientation and “do what it takes” attitude
- SAP knowledge; troubleshooting i-docs etc.
- Experience or open to training /utilizing warehouse equipment (forklifts, ride-on, etc.)
- Normal warehouse/industrial environment subject to climate and housekeeping variations
- Significant amount of time spent standing, walking, exposed to reduced ambient temperatures Occasional lifting, bending, etc.
- Lifting is generally limited to 25-30 lbs max
- Assist in the supervision and leading of warehouse operations as needed
